Amedeo Home Care, a locally owned and operated home care service, celebrated the grand opening of its new location on Saturday. The office is located at 2080 S. Frontage Road and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“Our goal is to make a positive impact in our community by providing the highest level of safety, care and dedication to our customers from the comfort of their own home,” said owner Catina Wilson.
Wilson has been operating Amedeo Home Care Services from her own home for just over a year. His sincere commitment to his customers and patients has brought him great success and enabled him to open a commercial office space to run the business.
Wilson says she has always loved working with older people and has dreamed of starting a home care service since she started becoming a nurse more than 17 years ago. Around this time, Wilson earned her nursing degree and later completed bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biology. She has experience in long-term care, medical-surgical, clinical and laboratory settings. She is also an Assistant Instructor at Hinds Community College where she teaches Anatomy and Physiology I/II.
Amedeo, which means “Lovers of God”, is based on Christian values. “We are trustworthy, reliable and caring,” Wilson said. “Your loved one will receive the best possible care from our reliable and caring staff.”
