This role

This is a care manager role in an established service that supports adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. On a daily basis, you manage the work shifts. You will manage and lead a team of on-duty care and support workers. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory and business requirements, while providing clients with excellent personalized service and value for money.

The main goal of the service is to ensure that we provide a safe and welcoming environment where customers can thrive and remain independent. The team provides support that inspires and encourages each client to complete daily tasks on their own and to the best of their ability. The team leader is essential to promote this positive behavior in the team and to be a key member of the staff.

This role requires shift work, including weekends and holidays, but no standby. You will be required to undertake both administrative and customer support tasks.

What you will need to be successful

This is a first step in people management and you will need to demonstrate your ability to lead by example. A first experience in management would be desirable, in addition to the management of difficult conversations. In addition, you will be able to manage your time effectively and have a clear understanding of risk management and protection.
