Residents and team members from Heritage of Green Hills, a healthy living plan community in Shillington, Pa., Came together to write positive messages and signatures on a beam which was then hoisted in its place atop the new health care center.

The Heritage Hotties, a team of cheerleaders made up of enthusiastic residents of the community’s independent living neighborhood, were on hand to add spirit and pizzazz to the event by shaking their blue and gold pom poms.

Construction of the new building is on track for opening in late spring 2022.

“We are incredibly proud of the thoughtful design of the healthcare center and its outdoor spaces,” said Doug Walther, CEO of Heritage of Green Hills. “The wide hallways and oversized windows allow an abundance of natural light to enter while providing residents with magnificent views of the hills and trees of our 78-acre campus. “

Other design highlights include an open kitchen in the dining room that allows residents to watch their dishes prepared by the chefs; a personal care patio with a fountain, fire pit, and plenty of comfortable seating; a secure outdoor garden filled with plants and flowers for memory care residents; a spacious hall with a comfortable space perfect for multigenerational visits; and several bright and inviting gathering and activity spaces inside and outside.

The health care center will include 70 one-bedroom suites and studios for personal and memory care.

“Each of these spacious new apartments offers a wonderful view,” says Walther. Oversized windows allow natural light to enter while providing residents with a front row seat in The Heritage’s sprawling natural beauty. “

Each home will include a private bathroom with high end appliances. Personal Care Suites will be some of the largest assisted living style homes on the market. Each will include a kitchenette with luxury finishes.

“We have several future residents and their families interested in the new healthcare facility, but there is no need to wait to get the highly personalized and expert care we are known for,” said Walther. “People moving to Heritage now will have the first choice of suites in the new building and will be eligible for savings of $ 6,000. “
