The people of Manx want better health and care services, not new ones.

This week, Manx Care kicked off a new public consultation process with a walk-in session at Ramsey.

This is part of the first steps in developing a northern wellness partnership that would see services provided in the local community.

The shift from centralized services to integrated local care was one of the main recommendations of the Sir Jonathan Michael report.

The first in a series of walk-in sessions was held at Ramsey Court House on Tuesday, November 16.

Local residents were invited to share their thoughts and ideas for the future of care in the North.

Adrian Tomkinson is the Wellness Partnerships Group Manager for Manx Care.

He says the recurring theme, across the north, south and west of the island, is that residents are satisfied with the range of services offered; they just want better access to them.
